Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE), Project-Based Pedagogy and Artistic Expression: Designing Ready-to-Use Sequences and Developing Time-Saving Strategies

Training Description
Would you like to enrich your teaching practices while optimizing the time you spend designing lessons and grading? Our training program offers a combination of general didactics, practical teaching tools, and local cultural integration, alternating between methodological input and practical workshops. Special attention is given to project-based pedagogy and formative assessment in order to streamline your work as a teacher without compromising the quality of learning.

The training is structured around three themed workshops:
  • Teaching artistic expression in FLE through songs, theatre, and creative writing
  • Implementing project-based pedagogy, from design to assessment
  • Developing ready-to-use teaching sequences
Organizing visits in the city of Lyon, meeting local residents, discovering cultural practices, and exploring emblematic locations, will serve as inspiration for the creation of projects and lesson sequences. These off-site sessions will also provide an opportunity to reflect on how the urban and cultural environment can be used pedagogically.

You will exchange ideas about your teaching practices and experiment with the proposed tools. By the end of the week, you will leave with:
  • ready-to-use teaching sequences,
  • lesson planning and correction tools that can be used immediately,
  • ideas for artistic and cultural projects adaptable to different audiences and proficiency levels.
