Final registration is done on-line. The opening dates of the registration platform are communicated after the placement tests have been passed in June for the first semester and in November for the second semester. Take note: passing the tests is mandatory to validate your pre-registration.

The final registration includes various procedures: passing a written and oral - placement test to determine the language level (only for DUEF candidates), payment of the Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus - CVEC (Student and Campus Life Contribution) administrative registration, payment of tuition fees, withdrawal of the Tuition Certificate and the student card.

Register in 5 steps
1 - Written and oral on-line placement tests (DUEF)

These tests allow you to determine your language level and place you in a group. The procedures for taking the tests will be communicated to you by email. After passing the tests, you will receive an admission proposal which specifies your language level: you must then confirm your application on the eCandidat platform to be able to proceed with your administrative registration. Take note: candidates for annual DUs are not affected by this step.

2 - Payment of the Student Life and Campus Contribution (CVEC)

To register, you must pay the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC) tax: it is compulsory.

  • When the payment is completed, you will obtain an identifier and a payment certificate which you will need for your administrative registration.
  • Payment : via the MesServices.Etudiant.gouv.fr platform.
  • Rate for the 2020-2021 academic year: €92.
3 - Final registration and online payment

Administrative registration allows you to pay the registration fees and obtain the school certificate and student card IZLY. You will be able to register when the Lyon 2 University registration platform opens.
To register via la plateforme, you must have :

  • Your e-candidate file number (assigned during pre-registration on e-candidate between March and June);
  • Your CVEC ID;
  • Means of payment: transfer or credit card.

No cash payment.
Registrations may not be made at the CIEF Secretariat.

4 - Confirmation of the final registration
  • After administrative registration, you will receive a summary sheet by email.
  • You must complete it and file it on the application PJWeb along with the required supporting documents:
          - copy of your passport ;
          - your CVEC certificate ;
          - if payment is by bank transfer: attach proof of transfer with your student number and name;
          - 1 ID photo.
5 - Withdrawal of the student card


When your registration is finally confirmed, you can collect your school certificate and your student card (IZLY) at the CIEF Secretariat.
