The Cief offers semester-long courses in French language. These courses are aimed at all students from beginner (A1) to advanced (C2) level and lead to a University Diploma of French Studies (DUEF).
Work in small groups (14 to 20 students) and the diversity of classroom practices ensure your progress.
- Preregistration

Preregistration must be done online on the eCandidat platform. Take note: this procedure does not apply to students currently registered at the CIEF.
The necessary documents must be deposited on the platform before the end of the pre-registration campaign. They are accepted in French, English and Spanish.
The CIEF reserves the right to request additional documents.
Take note: no files are accepted by post.The support costs are not refundable under any circumstances. In addition to the price of the course, they are valid for one academic year.
PRE-REGISTRATION ON-LINE : plateforme e.CandidatTake note: the closing of pre-registration is effective as soon as the reception capacity of the Centre is reached, it is therefore likely to be brought forward.
Pre-registration rejection clause by the CIEF: in the event of a file that does not meet the required conditions or if the reception capacity is reached, the CIEF reserves the right not to accept the file.Important: a preregistration certificate is sent to the applicant after validation of their file (favourable opinion).
This certificate will be used for the long-stay visa application for studies (VLS-TS).
NB.: once the visa has been obtained for a training course, it will not be possible to change that training. - Rate

- At the time of pre-regisration
- hold a diploma confirming the completion of secondary studies equivalent to the Baccalaureate, and/or a higher education diploma
Optional diplomas to be presented before the start of the course, if you wish to be placed in the next level *:- DUEF (for example, if you obtained a DUEF A2 at the CUEF in Grenoble, you will be placed at level B1 at the CIEF).
- DELF, DALF, provided that you have obtained a minimum of 15/25 in all skills.
- TCF valid, provided that you score at least 150 points in A1, 250 in A2, 350 in B1, 450 in B2 and 550 in C1, and 15/20 in written and oral expression.
