General French courses are for people who already have French language skills and wish to strengthen them. Organised three times during the university year, for 48 hours, each session enables you to improve your oral and written language skills, with grammatical content adapted to your level.

This course is usually held in the evening, which is why known as an "evening class", eabling you to complete your socio-cultural skills through an initiation to French culture. And an approach to university methodology will initiate you to the activities of higher education.

  • Language assistants in French schools (Middle and secondary schools, higher education)
Application

Registration at the CIEF Secretariat one month before the session. It is subject to a prior written test to enable placement in a group.

Attention : this training course does not provide student status and is not open to beginners. At the end of the course, a certificate is awarded on condition of regular attendance (minimum 80% attendance).

Organisation

This short course is organised 3 times during the academic year* in sessions of 42 hours each:

  • October - December
  • January – March
  • April – June

* course held if there are enough students

  • Consolidation of written and oral skills
  • Initiation to French culture
  • Adapted grammatical consolidation
  • Initiation to university methodology
  • On request, preparation for the DELF or DALF
