If you are a refugee, asylum seeker, or under subsidiary protection and you want to learn French, the CIEF offers you the Gateway University Diploma (DU PASSERELLE - DUP). This diploma enables you to acquire a B1 or B2 level in French. It prepares students to enter higher education in France.
Admission is selective. Pre-selection criteria:
- Have not interrupted their studies for more than 5 years
- Have arrived in France after 2019
- Live in the Rhône-Alpes region

The DUP application is made online on the Lyon 2 e-Candidat platform during the pre-registration campaign (March to May).
List of documents required :
- a detailed CV
- a covering letter in French, detailing your plans to return to University studies
- a certificate attesting your level of French: Delf, TCF, etc. (optional)
- a certificate of equivalence for the foreign diploma delivered by Enic Naric (optional).
After sending in their application, candidates must take an online test to check their level of French. This test must be taken individually and without a dictionary. It enables the Cief team to check the candidate's level of French. - Selection of candidates
